The Onkyo TX-NR1000 delivers 7 channels of quality sound each producing 150 Watts at 8 ohms. The TX-NR1000 offers a remarkable level of compatibility and connectivity with more audio/video and audio-only inputs and outputs than almost any home system could ever need. The optical and coaxial digital audio inputs and outputs, RCA stereo inputs and outputs, a phono input, and component, S-video, and composite video connections supplement the iLink(TM) and HDMI connections . The TX-NR1000 also has composite and S-Video up sampling to component video, which greatly simplifies switching and connections when mixing video source components from different generations.

The Newton Series HD flat panel speakers are the perfect companion to flat panel HDTVs 40 inches and larger. Their elegant design make them ideal for wall mounting, and their high performance lets you truly experience the beauty of high def. The line begins with the Newton Series MC600 HD Loudspeaker which use multiple, light and low-mass drivers. This speaker configuration enables them to track the most intricate audio signals perfectly, so even the smallest audio details don't get lost in the crowd. The companion Newton Series P300 HD Powered Subwoofer features a unique design with six high-excursion 6 1/2-inch transducers mounted on opposite faces of the enclosure. This system consists of seven of our Newton Series MC600HD main speakers used in the front left, center and right channels and the side and rear left and right surround channels. Small drivers also yield broad and uniform dispersion which is so important to a stereo image or home theater soundfield. Distortion-free response is assured due to the MC600HD's cast aluminum cabinet-within-a-cabinet construction. And, our unique-in-class boundary compensation circuit assures correct frequency response whether the MC600HD is mounted on a wall or our optional floor or table stands. The MC600HD is sized to be complementary to flat panel televisions with a screen size of 42 inches and larger.

The perfect low frequency complement to the MC600HD is our Newton Series P300HD Powered Subwoofer. A unique and very stylish design, the P300HD employs six 6 inch copolymer woofers, each built into its own acoustic chamber in a honeycomb style construction. The drivers are arrayed in a boxer-style layout and opposing drivers move simultaneously in opposite directions. This unique combination of honeycomb construction, boxer-style layout and drivers moving in opposition creates a powered subwoofer that eliminates virtually all spurious vibrations - the single largest contributor to distortion in a good powered subwoofer. Driven by a 300 watt digital amplifier, the P300HD reproduces bass down to the deepest fundamentals in music with detail and clarity, yet can blow you out of your seat when an action movie soundtrack demands it.
